The monitors are a compact, high-quality TFT LCD unit that has been designed to flawlessly display NTSC and PAL video. There is a Serial Digital Interface (SDI) video input, which is easily received on a shielded twisted pair, and a VGA video input for connecting to computers. They are controlled over the C-Stream network. The units exhibit high brightness, extraordinary contrast, and a very wide viewing angle. This makes for a display that can be installed in any environment while preserving the integrity of the digital video.
The 5.6” Display is a device that accepts differential SMPTE259M-C (270Mbps) serial digital PAL or NTSC video, utilizes the C-Stream network, and displays the video on
a 5.6” LCD screen. (C-Stream is a proprietary communication network that allows multiple devices such as switch panels and remote controls to communicate with
each other.)
Digital video can be transmitted on PIC Wire & Cable p\n E10224 shielded twisted-pair cable (or equivalent,) up to 100 meters. The combined use of twisted-pair cable and digital video provides a low cost transmission system while maintaining the highest quality video standards.
The 10.4" Digital LCD Display provides superior image quality in a package designed specifically for installation in the aircraft environment. The TFT LCD screen offers high resolution (800x600 color pixels) with excellent brightness and contrast. It accepts either NTSC or PAL video formats. The Serial Digital Interface (SDI) video input allows for a direct connection to the CCC source equipment ( DVD players) or video switchers. The integrated C-Stream network interface provides for seamless control of image and power On/Off from CCC ’s IFE systems. RS-232 inputs provide for the touchscreen control directly from the scratch resistant display. The diagnostic LED’s and address dials located at back of unit allow for easy installation and quick troubleshooting. In-seat or bulkhead mounting options are available.
